Walking Tour: Frontstreet pt.1
Yes, these pedicure-less feet have stepped out into familiar territory once again to share with you those things hidden in the open you may have never paid attention to while on Frontstreet: a flag carved into the trunk of a palm tree, two conch shells in an alley, a mad troupe of stuffed monkeys and, my favorite, the flowers vying for my attention here and there between businesses.
Here is the first half of Frontstreet through my eyes. I began at Sonesta Great Bay Beach Resort and paused at the Methodist Church, delighted to rediscover the older houses and their intricate designs.
What we have here is very beautiful, full of character and I was happy walking among the tourists, waiting my turn to take a picture, letting them pass by, knowing too well that tomorrow morning, God's spare life, when their boat leaves and their vacation ends, I can see all this again.
